Alan worked as a professional musician for 10 years, after studying music at Goldsmiths College, London. During this period, Alan toured the world and played in night clubs, stage and pit bands, and for countless recording sessions.

Alan has backed many famous artists, including Petula Clark and Jose Feliciano, and played with such jazz greats as Herb Ellis, Jimmy Smith, Blue Mitchell and Astrud Gilberto.

Since settling in Northern California some time ago, Alan has been busy playing with a variety of combos large and small, including his own quartet, several big bands and orchestras (including Full Spectrum, Swing Solution, Joe Ferrari and Bill Travis), and backing a variety of vocalists. Since joining @JAZZ - a seven piece jazz fusion band - a couple of years ago, Alan has starting adding some of his compositions to the band’s repertoire. The MIDI studio is where Alan can often be found, crafting custom made pieces of music for a host of clients in the Interactive Media arena.

Now earning a living in the high-tech world as an internet programmer, Alan still finds time for music as often as possible, just try and catch him when he is playing two saxes at the same time!
