Gloria and Alan visted Mexico for two weeks in October, 2004 both working on a project and vacationing. Here we are with Jeff, our host, and initiator of the Aquila Project, a leadership executive seminar that Gloria will be joining him to work on in the New Year. Jeff was a great host, taking us around the city and sharing his home with us. An avant garde theatre tucked into the ground floor provided 'home entertainment'. The architect, Luis Barragan's bauhaus home with Franciscan influence was one of the highlights of our time in Mexico City, along with the spectacular Archealogical Museum and visits to the former homes of Frida Kahlo and Leon Trotsky. Week two took us southward to Oaxaca - for a seven hour ride through diverse and interesting countryside. Oaxaca ,the handicraft capital of Mexico, is also the site of Monte Alba, a large city of the Zapotec civilization. The town's location is situated within one of the beautiful mountainous valleys of Southern Mexico.
